A NOTE ABOUT P-38 MODELS: We have received a lot of interest from our Members and Website Visitors in P-38 models, so we developed a special section to show you some photos of completed models as well as a step-by-step description from one of our Members, who was completely thrilled by the quality and detail of the model he recently built. This commemorative coin features the distinct Lockheed P-38 Lightning in flight and (on the reverse side) 3-view silhouettes surrounded by the aircraft's specifications.  This uncirculated nickel-silver coin was created by the  Franklin Mint in the early 1970s and the dies were later destroyed, making this a rare collectible in limited supply. 1½" in diameter.
