P-38 FLIGHT RESERVATIONS

The P-38 National Association has been able to arrange a unique opportunity for our members to have a flight in a P‑38 at the General Membership meeting (June 25-26) at the Planes of Fame Museum in Valle, AZ.  If we can get a commitment from a minimum of five (5) members who wish to take this flight, we will be able to have the Planes of Fame P‑38, "23 Skidoo," brought over to Valle for our meeting and your flight.

This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of you, so be sure to book your reservations now!

ATTENTION:  The March issue of "Lightning Strikes" indicates that reservations can be made through us and checks mailed to the P-38 National Association. Due to unforeseen expenses involved with this process, ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE PER THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW NOW.  Thanks much.

There are some height and weight guidelines below, so make sure to check that out before making your booking.

P-38 FLIGHT GUIDELINES

DATE OF FLIGHT: June 26, 2010

LOCATION:  Planes of Fame, Valle, AZ

COST OF FLIGHT: $2,000, plus the cost of an annual membership to the Planes of Fame Museum, which is $50, for a total of $2,050.  If you are already a member of that Museum, the total will be $2,000.

Planes of Fame requires a 50% ($1,000) refundable deposit, which must be received no later than Monday, June 21. The balance, membership dues and legal paperwork will be handled at Valle on the day of the flight.

Anyone who answers the phone there will be able to take your reservation.  They accept Visa, MC or Discover Card only (not American Express.).

HEIGHT/WEIGHT GUIDELINES:  Although the ultimate decision is up to the pilot, we have been told that 6' is about the maximum height, and a body weight of under 235 lbs. is considered the high number on the weight.

When you call to make your reservation, be sure to specify that you are with the P-38 National Association, and you are reserving a flight for Saturday, June 26, at the Valle Museum location.

If you have not yet made your reservations for this year's General Membership Meeting, you can find all the details on this page of our website.
