The painting depicts the 402nd Fighter Squadron, 370th Fighter Group attacking German supply trains in a French rail yard in July, 1944. The painting is used with permission of the artist for our fundraising purposes.

In the center of the design is the P-38 Lightning Fork-Tailed Devil insignia used by the 49th Fighter Squadron in Foggia, Italy, during World War II. Above the design are the words “Fork-Tailed Devil” written in a green typeface to match the colors in the drawing.
